  15. Why doesn't the rest of the world share my fondness for Icon? I don't 
  16. mean, why are they still using Fortran, Cobol, and C; but even in Icon's 
  17. niche of text processing I don't seem to come across programs written in 
  18. Icon. I've come across a LaTeX to HTML convertor, various BiBTeX tools, 
  19. and several CGI scripts written in Perl, but I've never come across any 
  20. Icon programs outside of Icon circles - and even in Icon circles, many 
  21. of these programs don't seem to have been produced. Why this unfortunate 
  22. state of affairs?
